The Jaguar XJ receives Automobile Magazine's All Star Award
No, ‘All Star’ doesn’t refer to celebs who’ve fallen for the charms of Jaguar’s new XJ, from our own Jaguar-loving Richard Madeley to rap’s own Mr Jay-Zed who featured a new XJ in a recent vid. The ‘All Star’ here is the All-Star Award from America’s Automobile magazine who’ve decided that the new XJ deserves an award, just as the Jaguar XF deserved the same accolade in 2009 and 2010. According to Automobile magazine: “The toughest part about this class is that it’s very hard for any one car to stand out in the crowd, and yet the XJ manages to do just that, in both its design and its dynamics.

Seat showed its prototype Leon Twin Drive Ecomotive today at its technical centre near Barcelona. The finished petrol-electric hybrid is expected in showrooms by 2014. The new hybrid Leon uses Twin Drive with power generated by an electric motor for shorter, urban trips while, for longer drives, the car seamlessly switches to an internal combustion engine.
Toyota's offerings at Geneva 2012
The Toyota Yaris Hybrid, Toyota GT 86 and a new compact city car concept – the Toyota FT-Bh – will be at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Toyota has a stand full of cars to offer at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, with the European debut of the GT 86, the Yaris Hybrid, and the world debut of a new concept – the FT-Bh Concept. We already know the price of the Toyota GT 86 – a starting point of £25k – and we’ve seen the photos, so now all that’s left is to see the GT 86 in the flesh.
